Met issues 30 hours of weather warnings for Wales
Be prepared for heavy downpours and flooding
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain across Wales, with up to 60mm of rainfall expected in some areas.
The warning is in place from 06:00 BST on Thursday 2 March until 12:00 BST on Friday 3 March.
What to expect:
- Heavy rain, with some areas seeing up to 60mm of rainfall
- Flooding of roads and homes is possible
- Disruption to travel is likely
The Met Office has warned that the heavy rain could lead to flooding of roads and homes, and disruption to travel.
People are advised to be prepared for the wet weather and to take precautions to avoid flooding.
The Met Office has issued a number of tips to help people stay safe in the wet weather:
- Avoid driving through floodwater
- If you must drive, slow down and be prepared for poor visibility
- Be aware of the risk of flooding in your area
- Have a plan in place for what to do if your home or business is flooded
