Unlock Selective Syncing

MEGA provides users with the flexibility to sync specific folders or their entire MEGA Cloud drive with designated folders on their computer. This selective syncing feature allows you to choose exactly which content you want to access locally, saving storage space and optimizing performance.

Configuring Selective Sync

During the MEGA Sync installation process, you will be prompted to select the desired sync behavior. If you prefer to sync only specific folders, choose the "Custom folder sync" option. This will open a window where you can handpick the folders you wish to synchronize.

Managing Your Synced Folders

To manage your synced folders, right-click the MEGAsync icon in your taskbar and navigate to "Settings" > "Sync." Here, you can add new folders for syncing or remove existing ones. Additionally, you can adjust the synchronization settings, such as the maximum file size and the number of concurrent transfers, to suit your needs.

Syncing with Existing Folders

When syncing with existing folders on your computer, ensure that they do not have the same name as any existing folders in your MEGA Cloud drive. This is to prevent conflicts during the synchronization process.
