Women's Super League leaders Chelsea produced a dominant performance as they comfortably beat title rivals Arsenal at Kingsmeadow on Sunday.

Goals from Guro Reiten and Johanna Eriksson gave Chelsea a comfortable victory over the Gunners, who had Frida Maanum sent off in the second half.

The result sees Chelsea move three points clear at the top of the table, while Arsenal remain in third place.

Chelsea started the game brightly and took the lead after just seven minutes when Reiten fired home a stunning strike from outside the box.

Arsenal struggled to create chances in the first half, and Chelsea doubled their lead just before the break when Eriksson headed home a cross from Niamh Charles.

The Gunners improved after the break but were unable to find a way back into the game, and their hopes were ended when Maanum was sent off for a second yellow card in the 75th minute.

Chelsea added a third goal in the closing stages when substitute Bethany England tapped home from close range.

The victory sees Chelsea move three points clear at the top of the table, while Arsenal remain in third place.

Chelsea will now face Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-finals on Saturday, while Arsenal will take on Manchester City in the Women's Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday.
