The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad witnessed a thrilling encounter between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on April 25. The match, which started at 7:30 PM, saw a record-breaking display of batting, resulting in the highest IPL total and the highest match aggregate in all T20 cricket history.
SRH posted a mammoth 287 runs for the loss of only three wickets in their 20 overs. Opener David Warner led the charge with a blistering century (102 runs), supported by Jonny Bairstow's 63 and Kane Williamson's 52. In reply, RCB could only manage 187 runs in their 20 overs, despite a valiant effort from AB de Villiers (38 runs).
The match also saw a record-breaking partnership between Warner and Bairstow, who put on 140 runs for the first wicket. The total score of 474 runs between the two teams is the highest ever in T20 cricket.
The victory for SRH extends their unbeaten streak to four matches and solidifies their position at the top of the IPL standings. RCB, on the other hand, remains in the hunt for a playoff spot but will need to improve their form in upcoming matches.
